Love/Chamberlain

Lindy: I believe that people will believe anything. I believe in forgiveness. I forgive you.

Courtney Love meets Lindy Chamberlain on a remote highway somewhere in Australia, seeking an elusive Oracle. They form a highly unlikely connection, sliding in and out of time, guided by memory and loss.

“This is a fascinating play about grief, shame and love tracking the improbable intersection of Courtney Love and Lindy Chamberlain as they meet and share a moment in the desert of dreams. Mackey’s script is brilliant, deeply engaging, formally surprising and richly considered – it explores two ‘broken’ women in a uniquely theatrical, detailed way – well worth delving deeper into.” John Kachoyan, Australian Plays.
